It seems some of our designer friends can’t help but collect accolades and awards lately, and rightly so. Our heartfelt congratulations must first go to Mary Katrantzou for her Emerging Talent award at the star-studded British Fashion Awards last night. Her show was one of the highlights of London Fashion Week for the Matches team and we are looking forward to the S/S 12 collection and amazing new prints launching in store and online soon.

Another big winner last nights awards at the Savoy Theatre, hosted by George Lamb and Lauren Laverne, was our hero statement shoe designer Charlotte Dellal (Charlotte Olympia) as Accessories Designer of the Year.

Further praise must be heaped on Sarah Burton of Alexander McQueen for the top accolade of Designer of the Year, Christopher Kane for the New Establishment award, Tabitha Simmons for the Emerging Talent award (Accessories), Stella McCartney for the Red Carpet award and Paul Smith for the Outstanding Achievement in Fashion Award. What a thoroughly talented bunch.
