After 18 glorious years of playfully complementing their mainline Dolce & Gabbana collection, with their junior D&G range, designers Domenico Dolce & Stefano Gabbana, have decided to close their separate, slightly younger label, to merge the two into one major über-brand.
“We have too many lines now” says Dolce. “It is time to concentrate on one and make our vision even stronger and more focused.” The D&G branding, that often confused customers, will soon be seen appearing on luxury mainline items.
“D&G will totally become part of Dolce & Gabanna, giving added energy to our collections and reinforcing the brand,” says Gabbana.

The design duo certainly pulled no punches on their closing catwalk collection. It was almost a greatest hits of the brands heritage, with each piece exuding classic D&G style, in their inimitable sexy, Dolce Vita, Sicilian kind of way.
